Many years ago I got my hands on a copy of the anime movie Howl’s Moving Castle, an animation created by Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. The story itself was a tad confusing but the stunning visual art more than made up for a few hiccups in plot. Then I discovered that the movie was based on a book of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, commonly shortened to Hogwarts (/ ˈ h ɒ ɡ w ɔːr t s /), is a fictional British school of magic for students aged eleven to eighteen, and is the primary setting for the first six books in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter on: Scotland.

Sears provided all the materials and instructions, and for many years the financing, for homeowners to build their own houses. Sears’s Modern Homes stand today as living monuments to the fine, enduring, and solid quality of Sears craftsmanship. No official tally exists of the number of Sears mail-order houses that still survive today.   JK Rowling has offered hope to aspiring authors everywhere, after revealing that the first literary agent she sent the manuscript of Harry Potter to responded with just a slip of paper rejecting.

E ver since Harry Potter first donned the Sorting Hat in J.K. Rowling‘s wizarding world series, millions of fans have wondered which of the four Houses they would be assigned on their first. The appendix to The Many Rooms of This House lists addresses where places of worship were located. While some of these were a congregation’s second or third home, many congregations moved into another congregation’s former building. Thus, the number of communities mentioned in this narrative is roughly four hundred.
